INTERNET BROWSER SETUP
AND TROUBLE SHOOTING
Step 1: Confirm Browser Setup
Optimized for WebTRAN performance
Internet
Explorer (version 6.0) Setup
Internet
Explorer (version 7.0) Setup
Internet Explorer (version 8.0) Setup
Note: Observe
that when the above PDF files are opened, "Tools" in the IE tool bar may not be
available to make the suggested changes.
"Tip" - Three Options
1) look underneath the browser window that contains the instructions; the
original window with the "tool" bar may be available. Make changes in the
original window,
2) Open a second IE browser window that does contain the "tool bar" and make the
changes, as necessary.
3) If none of the above is convenient, it may be necessary to save the PDF
instructions to your desktop and open separately from IE. The easiest way to do
that is to "right-click" on the hyperlink for the desired setup instruction and
save to your desktop or other location on your computer.
Step 2:
Confirm Adequate Internet Connection Speed
when WebTRAN
appears to be slow:
Test Your Internet Connection Speed:

If internet connection speed is 500
Kbps or greater and connection is still slow, submit Tech Support Request (Trouble
Ticket)
{please include the observed internet connection speed from the above test in your
Tech Support Request]
If your internet connection speed is
slow and you are not sure what to do to resolve the connection problem,
feel free to contact ARS and we will try and help solve the problem.

For Users of Google Toolbars
For users who must hold the ctrl key while generating pdf reports in
WebTRAN, the problem is with a pop-up blocker somewhere on the user's machine.
If
www.pkmj.com
is added to the internet explorer pop-up blocker as advised in the above
troubleshooting tips and the problem continues, then the other pop-up blockers
on a given have to be ferretted out and 'taught' to accept pop-ups from
www.pkmj.com.
The most common pop-up blocker offender in our sphere of influence is the Google toolbar. If deleting the toolbar cures the problem, then you know you have the right culprit, and you can go ahead and reinstall it.
Click to open/download the attached procedure which will explain how to "teach" the Google toolbar to accept pop-ups from pkmj.com.
